The Church Alliance is proud to advocate on behalf of denominational benefits organizations that have won national recognition for their exceptional customer service, workplace practices, and operational excellence. In 2025, several of the Church Alliance’s member organizations won awards for their integrity and service. For example:
For the third consecutive year, Top Workplaces honored Concordia Plan Services with a Nonprofit Top Workplace award. Concordia Plan Services provides comprehensive retirement, health, disability, and survivor benefits to workers of The Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod (LCMS). Top Workplace bases its awards on the results of anonymous employee surveys. Each year, Top Workplace partners with more than 60 media outlets, including USA TODAY, The Washington Post, and The Boston Globe, to celebrate and promote the highest scoring institutions across multiple categories.
For the 11th consecutive year, BenchmarkPortal certified a Customer Care Center of Excellence at Portico Benefit Services. As a ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), Portico Benefit Services provides retirement, health, life, disability, and wellness benefits to enhance the total well-being of those who serve faith-based organizations. Based on 20 key efficiency and effectiveness performance indicators, BenchmarkPortal recognized the Portico customer care center as North America’s third-highest-performing small center in North America across all industries.
For the 8th consecutive year, in its local and national lists, the National Association for Business Resources (NABR) named Wespath, based in the Chicago area, as one of its “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.” Wespath provides investment and benefit services that honor the mission and principles of The United Methodist Church. NABR admits companies to its “Best and Brightest” lists based on assessments of business practices in categories including leadership, strategy, and company performance; community initiatives and corporate responsibility; recruitment and selection; and work-life blend.
